Community Guidelines

EUxplore is an all in one adventure platform which connects travelers with the information and resources needed to explore Europe to the fullest.  Our website and app operate as a social network, trip advisor, guide map as well as route planner.

To make this platform the best it can be, we have some community guidelines and rules to adhere to.  This way we keep EUxplore a professional, friendly and welcoming place where quality content and a welcoming community is central.

Our guidelines:

What’s at the core of this platform:

  • We look forward to getting to know our community better and can’t wait to see what you have to share (posts, blogs, conversations, map markers, routes and such).  If you’re here to learn and find inspiration, great!  We’re excited to help like minded people with the same passion of exploring Europe.
  • EUxplore is an evolving platform which will continuously improve.  If you have an issue with something or would like to see additional features, contact us and select that option in the drop down menu.
  • Be kind.  Any language which intends to insult, to be negative or to create problems will be removed.  Not everyone shares the same opinion so either be friendly about it or move on please.
  • We’re all here to learn, gain knowledge and find some amazing spots to explore so please post quality content. Nonsense markers or posts will lead to your removal.

Code of Conduct

Our goal is to create an all in one platform in which you can connect, plan and execute some memorable trips, learn or gain ideas.  Our content needs to aid in that mission.  If a user’s content does not contribute to that mission, it will be removed or may lead to cancellation of that user’s account.

Here’s what we don’t like to see:

  • Spam: Please do not self promote your channels, company or product.  We want to hear about your adventures, travels and how to’s but any spamming won’t be tolerated.
  • Keep An Open Mind: Members are here for different reasons.  They may be backpackers, overlanders or enjoy luxury hotels.  Please keep this in mind when you converse.  We’re here to assist all kinds of modern day explorers in helping them find tips, destinations, tracks or other knowledge.  Never assume someone is looking for the exact same thing you are.
  • Advertising: We do not allow advertising of any kind, except approved by the admins.  This will always be in a dedicated location and transparent.
  • Respect Other Member’s Privacy: Our Member Map shows a Member’s city or town location but no address for privacy reasons.  You can befriend other members (approved by them) but you may in no way bother or intrude into other member’s lives.
  • Decent Humans Only: We take this very seriously and thankfully do not have this problem often.  We are a network of like minded enthusiasts so are here to build each other up, not tear each other down.  Remember we all were newbies at one point and everyone makes mistakes.  We do not tolerate any negative speech of any kind towards other members or their situations.  We are here to help.
  • Keep your negativity to yourself: Let this be a place of positivity and excitement.  If you have any issues with society or the world, this is not the place to vent about it.  Also keep in mind that while, EUxplore can provide the tools to plan the perfect trip, it is not a guarantee and it’s up you what you do with the information you found.  EUxplore cannot guarantee or verify all information found on the website to be correct.
  • Keep it safe: While we provide you with a safe and monitored platform to connect, we cannot be responsible for attendees of events and meetups we do not host.  Please understand we cannot control what happens in private environments so plan and act accordingly.
  • Keep it appropriate: All content uploaded needs to be appropriate for all audiences.  Anything else will be removed and lead to banning your account.
  • Keep it legal: No illegal activities may be shared or promoted.
  • Leave No Trace: EUxplore is an advocate of leaving the place you visited intact.  These are the seven guidelines:
    • Plan Ahead and Prepare. Know the regulations and special concerns for the area you’ll visit.
    • Travel and Camp on Durable Surfaces.
    • Dispose of Waste Properly.
    • Leave What You Find.
    • Minimize Campfire Impacts.
    • Respect Wildlife.
    • Be Considerate of Other Visitors.

If you notice violations of our code of conduct before our admins do, please let us know through our Contact page.

My Profile guidelines: No self promotion, offensive imagery or text or anything which violaties the code of conduct above.

Communications outside the Euxplore platform, conversation groups and official social media groups: EUxplore cannot be responsible for members utilizing communication platforms outside of the EUxplore platform as well as private messages to other members.

We thank you for contributing to a positive, helpful, welcoming and constructive platform to enjoy together, all while learning, exploring and sharing.
